International Standard Industrial Classification of All Economic Activities — Rev. 5

The United Nations international reference classification for organizing economic activities and supporting comparison across national systems.

Edition and use

The UN Statistical Commission endorsed Rev. 5 in 2023. The UN Statistics Division states that the publication is still being prepared, while structure and explanatory-note files are available. The released structure separates video-game development (6211) from other programming (6219); 6210 is not a class in that structure. The Rev. 4 Internet-retail heading 4791 must not be reused as a Rev. 5 online-store category: retail classification depends on the goods, not just the sales channel. IndustryCodeFinder offers independent guidance; the authority or organization receiving a code controls the final assignment.
